Sunday Suppers

Now the clocks have gone back, it’s finally time to hunker down in front of a roaring fire, the Sunday papers and a pint of something cold. Ideally in a pub with one of our street food residencies. Our latest series (check out our successes in this area here) kicks off this Sunday, with three inspirational traders rotating across three exciting London pubs for our Sunday Suppers season with Hippo Inns. We’ll have Harissa & Lemon serving up contemporary Moroccan street food. They did brilliantly when we put them into the Royal Horticultural Show at Hampton Court. Think grilled halloumi, Ras el Hanout fries, and fragrant lamb burgers. Next we’ve got Panzerotto Blues, a new concept of Italian street food from Puglia. Panzerotto is an Italian Pizza dough, made fresh daily, then stuffed with mozzarella, tomato and all manner of deliciousness. It’s then closed on itself to form a crescent…but first rule of Panzerrotto club, it’s NOT a calzone. And finally we’ll have Mei Mei’s Street Cart, serving Chinese comfort food. Everything made from scratch. “Our dishes are only as good as the ingredients we put into them” says Mei Mei, “so using properly sourced produce is really important to us”. The traders will start this Sunday by rotating across the Islington Townhouse, The Grafton in Kentish Town and The George in Canary Wharf. More to follow….
