It’s not easy – seeking perfection. But that’s what we do. For 15 years we have sought (and found) the very best street food traders in the UK and Europe, with the USA Street Food Awards on track to crown the first American champion in 2026. With the finals of this year’s British Street Food Awards (in London on September 28) and this year’s European Street Food Awards (in Munich on October 10-12) coming up fast, make sure to free up some diary time.

But that’s not it for 2025. Oh no. We’re launching a string of new food festivals across the South of England. Namely:

Braintree Village Food Festival: 6-7 September

Clarks Village Food Festival: 20-21 September

The festivals will be a collaboration between us and Land Securities. Land Securities, the largest commercial property development and investment company in the UK, want to create fabulous gatherings with food, music and entertainment, at a selection of their top sites. So they’ve charged us with finding the very best street food AND food producers out there. We’re launching this year, and the plan is to expand in 2026.

Pitch fees for hot and cold food are 110 plus vat per day – ie 132 – and that’s INCLUDING electricity. Plus 5% of turnover plus vat payable on the day after the event. Pitch fees for produce are 80 plus vat per day – ie 96 – and that’s INCLUDING electricity. Plus a 5% of turnover plus vat payable on the day after the event. The first of the new festivals is happening this weekend at Gunwharf Quays in Portsmouth – check out https://www.gunwharf-quays.com/en/street-food-festival. As anyone who has ever traded at the Southern heats of the BSFA at Gunwharf will know, Land Securities really get events. That’s why we’ve gone back there for the last six years. They were the first ever sponsors of the British Street Food Awards – back in 2011. We worked together to launch the groundbreaking Trinity Kitchen in Leeds. They are sure to make these Festivals a success.

At the end of November we are launching a very special Christmas market on the South Downs, taking our Food St market to a very unique place for the festive season. More details nearer the time. But make sure to get involved!
