And here’s why – the best street food traders in the UK are coming to London to win your vote with taster portions of their signature dishes. To become UK champion, and represent the home nations at the 2024 European Street Food Awards. Here are their two competition dishes:

The Sesame Pork Toast-ed. Toasted sandwich inspired by Hong Kong’s sesame prawn toast AND Vietnam’s Bánh mì. With satay notes, slow-cooked pork, crisp vegetables, herbs, spring onion and pickled chillies.

Crispy smashed potatoes with a touch of garlic, rosemary oil and smoked Maldon salt. Served with seared yuba, caramelised onions and home-made scotch bonnet bbq sauce, with a touch of crispy onion. Lime mayo coleslaw with cabbage and homemade pickles on the side.

Burns Supper Stack
Made from a unique blend of mushrooms, beans, pinhead oats, and plenty of pepper, the Planet G haggis is slow-cooked, wrapped in cheesecloth, pressure-steamed, and fried on the griddle for a crispy outside and a soft, flavorful inside. Thick pickled turnips and caramelised onions sit on top of the crispy baby potatoes, mingling with garlic, rosemary, and smoked salt inside a burger bun.
