The grand final of the biggest street food competition in the world is back – overlooking the canal at Hackney Bridge. We’ve been on Sunday Brunch, Steph’s Packed Lunch and Dragons Den. Thousands entered, hundreds competed, and the 16 finalists – from all over the country – will be cooking to be crowned Britain’s BEST on Friday 18, Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 August.

HOW IT WORKS ?
Each of the finalists will be trading all weekend to try and win YOUR vote for the People’s Choice before our expert judges (Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Richard Jones plus Michelin-starred chefs Tom Brown and Andy Beynon) reveal all the winners on Sunday. And pack them off to represent the UK at the final of the 2023 European Street Food Awards in Germany at the end of September.

There will be a huge range of food on offer: Scottish BBQ burnt ends; tofish and chips; Nepalese momos; vegan tacos served on hand-rolled blue corn tortillas; fried upbeat chicken; handmade Vietnamese dumplings; French dip sandwiches with a gravy dipping sauce; Welsh cakes, hot from the griddle, and slathered in Welsh butter.
