Your Flash Is Your Cash

There is a saying in street food – “your flash is your cash”. A good-looking van, a caravan with one HELLUVA paint job or an interesting little trike with a gazebo tagged onto the side can really help out with sluggish sales. Our British Street Food Award for Best Looking, sponsored this year by Majisign, always attracts a lot of interest. And this year will be no different. Last month we asked you to nominate your favourites on instagram, Facebook and twitter, and this is the long list. In true X factor style, we’ll cut the long list down to a short list in August and – at the 2022 British Street Food Awards final in September, where the very best traders in Britain will be cooking their hearts out to win the British title AND a place in the grand finale of the 2022 European Street Food Awards in Munich – we’ll announce our winners.
