Summer Of Love

Hospitality is back. And we can’t wait to taste freedom. After the toughest period for our industry since the Second World War, it’s finally time to find the European Street Food Awards champions. We have more than 15 countries running national competitions. And each country will send a champion to the grand finale in Munich. We’ll miss our brothers and sisters in Ukraine – and the peace-loving people of Russia and Belarus – who were due to compete this year. But here’s hoping we’ll all be able to break bread together again – and soon.

In 2020 and 2021 we were one of only a handful of organisations that managed to run live food events in a pandemic. And shout about it on the BBC. Check this out. We learnt how to deliver things safely AND soundly, and can’t wait to do it again. We’ve also been busy working with the best new traders in the USA. This Autumn will see the launch of the USA Street Food Awards with our partners Food Fleet. And the American winners can’t wait to take on the champs of Europe – maybe one for 2023?

After 12 years of hunting down the best that’s out there, Food Mutiny (who now run the Street Food Awards in Britain, Europe and the USA) have a habit of blazing trails and breaking talent. So during the pandemic we decided we needed our own stage where the best can perform. With the coolest traders on rotation. With Bumper Bar + Kitchens, we will try to change the face of boring food courts across the world. Watch this space.
