For Old Times Sake

British Street Food has a very happy history with Jamie Oliver and Fifteen. Jamie was kind enough to lend us the cobbles outside the restaurant’s London HQ for the 2012 British Street Food Awards — and the weekend turned into a real knees-up to celebrate the tenth anniversary of his inspirational not-for-profit restaurant. The collaboration ended up with us meeting some of the Fifteen apprentices, and having the honour of attending their graduation. So we’re delighted to be working with Fifteen again. Specifically, Andy Appleton, the Head Chef of Fifteen Cornwall, who has kindly agreed to be a guest judge at the South heats of the 2015 British Street Food Awards in Falmouth this August Bank Holiday. Andy has been a big part of the Fifteen family for many years now; originally a senior sous chef in London, he was part of the team that launched the concept back in 2002. Andy loves everything about Italian food and has been Head Chef at several London restaurants including the Dakota in Notting Hill and the Italian-style Tabernacle Bar and Grill in Shoreditch, before moving to Fifteen London and eventually Fifteen Cornwall in 2007. He’s been Head Chef down here since March 2010. So he knows what he’s talking about. Let’s see what he makes of this little lot
