It was surreal. President Obama was due to open a press conference declaring the US position on the plane shot down over the Ukraine. News was coming in about bombings in Gaza. And then there was us. Three street food lovers, invited in to talk about the British Street Food Awards. And the London heats. To make matters worse, we didn’t have samples (but only because the segment hadn’t even been confirmed until three hours before), and Rajesh Mirchandani was clearly hungry. No matter.
