Poo Patrol

Please watch this video. It makes uncomfortable viewing for two reasons. First, because it shows how gutter oil vendors scoop sewage out of the ground, and ‘recycle’ it into oil used for frying food for unwitting Chinese consumers. Second, because the whole thing is coloured with a Voice of America superiority that somehow gets in the way of the fundamental message — the food everywhere needs proper policing. Food safety isn’t a suitable subject for petty political point scoring.
