How safe is street vendor food?

An investigation into food safety from the BBC. Not sure what it proves, beyond the fact that we should all wash our hands more — and not serve food straight after we’ve stroked our beards. All I know for sure is that much worse goes on behind the swing doors of Britain’s restaurants.
