Don’t Kick It To The Kerb!
In the midst of the madness of the British Street Food Awards – whether it was the overflowing toilets, or the dents and divots in our picnic turf – I got a few minutes to catch up with Petra Barran.
The founder of Eat St, and the Godmother of British street food, was excited. And not just about the Awards. We were both chuffed to be invited to the Restaurant Show to talk about street food. But she had other — more secret — plans. Basically, Eat St is turning into Kerb. And the woman/visionary is finally getting to realize her dream of opening up public spaces in Britain. Everyone is invited to come and celebrate on Thursday October 4, and the whole gang will be there including You Doughnut, Pizza Pilgrims, The Rib Man and Horn Ok Please. Come to the West Handyside Canopy (Next to Central St. Martin’s), King’s Cross, London N1C 4AA. Tell them Big Pez sent you. “This thing tastes good” as Petra will probably say….
