Don’t Judge Me

NEWSFLASH. We’ve just heard that the BBC’s Larry and Paul (radio presenters currently specialising in winning TV awards. Youtube, yeh?) will be joining our prestigious judging panel for the Northern heats of the British Street Food Awards supported by Hellmann’s. Along with ESFA finalist Ranie Sirah from Jay Jyot. Thank you gentlemen! They will pull up a chair next to James Mackenzie, holder of one of Yorkshire’s five Michelin stars for the amazing Pipe and Glass, a former coaching inn set in the glorious surroundings of the Dalton Estate. The pub and restaurant have gained an international reputation and many major awards, including a star since 2010.

National restaurant critic Marina O’Loughlin said the Pipe and Glass was “as comforting as sinking into a rum-laced hot chocolate”. But it’s still a great pub, where you can sit down with the paper and a pint of Two Chefs. A former Michelin Pub of the Year, other notable recognition includes the Good Pub Guide’s National Dining Pub and Yorkshire Dining Pub of the Year, as well as consistently featuring in the Morning Advertiser Estrella Damm Top 50 Gastropubs. Now the man himself is coming down to Leeds Dock to get to stuck into 11 of the North’s NEW food heroes. Guess we better have a few pints ready and waiting. This is going to be MAJOR.
