Become A SupperHero!
“Life, misfortunes, isolation, abandonment, poverty, are battlefields which have their heroes; obscure heroes, sometimes greater than the illustrious heroes.” That from Victor Hugo — which goes some way to explaining why Les Miserables felt quite so Miserable. But this September sees an extraordinary opportunity to elevate mere mortals into illustrious heroes without any of that isolation and abandonment stuff. And — at the same time — help to end hunger in some of the world’s poorest countries. Don your cape and mask (if you wish) and prepare yourselves for yet another explosive episode of gourmet gallantry, popping up at homes across the UK — the SupperHeroes Series (part two). From September to the end of November, a host of culinary crusaders will be inviting you into their homes, creating the most awesome menus to be devoured by paying diners to tackle child hunger around the world. There’s an action packed series of events you can dine at — from a menu created entirely from surplus food; feasting Scandinavian style under the Northern Lights (sort of!), to dressing up as a superhero or Bollywood star for the night. Let your taste buds travel while supporting the greater good by checking out this year’s SupperHeroes events now.
